As an entrepreneur, I was afraid of being too expensive. I thought that if I raised my prices, I would lose customers and eventually go bankrupt. I kept my prices low, even though I felt my work was worth much more. However, this caused a lot of stress and tension in my life.
I know I'm not the only one who feels this fear. Many of my clients who want to start their own businesses have the same concerns. They're afraid that if they make their prices too high, they won't get customers and will ultimately fail. This can lead to a lot of doubt and uncertainty, which can prevent them from pursuing their dreams.
But I've learned that this fear only limits us and doesn't help us to grow and flourish. Cultivating an abundance mindset can help us overcome these fears and focus on our value and attracting the right customers.
One of the pain points my clients currently have is that they don't know how to determine their value and how to raise their prices without losing their customers. They do want to earn more, but don't know how to achieve this.
Another pain point is that they don't feel confident enough to sell themselves. They are afraid of coming across as boastful and are afraid that their clients won't take them seriously if they talk too much about their own skills.
To overcome these fears and cultivate an abundance mindset, there are several steps we can take:
-
Determine your value: Research what you're worth and how much your competitors charge for similar services. By doing this, you can set your prices based on your value and not on your fears.
-
Change your beliefs: Identify the beliefs that limit you and replace them with more positive and helpful beliefs. For example, instead of thinking "I'm too expensive," you can think "I'm worth it."
-
Surround yourself with positivity: Make sure you're surrounded by people who support you and encourage you to grow and flourish. Avoid people who put you down or amplify your fears.
-
Learn to sell yourself: Learn how to sell yourself without coming across as boastful. By presenting yourself as a professional with valuable skills and knowledge, you can attract customers who are a good fit for you.

EFT script: EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a great tool for overcoming limiting beliefs. Below is an example EFT script:
Start by assessing the intensity of the fear on a scale of 0 to 10. Write down the intensity score and let's start tapping on the following EFT points, keeping the negative emotions in mind:
Start tapping: Karate Chop: Even though I'm afraid of being too expensive as an entrepreneur, I fully and deeply and completely accept myself. Even though I feel this fear of being too expensive and losing customers, I accept who I am and how I feel. Even though I'm afraid I won't get enough customers because I'm too expensive, I choose to love myself and accept myself.
Around the body:
Top of the head: This fear of being too expensive
Forehead: The fear of losing customers
Side of the eye: This fear of not getting enough customers Under the eye: The fear that no one will buy my product or service
Under the nose: The fear of failing as an entrepreneur
Chin: The fear of not earning enough Collarbone: This fear of being too expensive
Under the arm: The fear of not being successful
Karate Chop: I am willing to let go of this fear and cultivate an abundance mindset. I choose to see myself as valuable and worthy to my clients. I choose to believe that there is enough for everyone, enough customers and money. I am willing to believe that I am worth being paid what I am worth. I am willing to let go of my fears and trust my abilities and worth as an entrepreneur.
Now re-evaluate the intensity of the fear and see if it has decreased. If not, repeat the process again. Remember that EFT is a process and it may take multiple sessions to achieve the desired results. Repeat this EFT script regularly and you will find that you overcome your fear of being too expensive as an entrepreneur and cultivate an abundance mindset.
